The Xbox One Elite controller (series one) has been out since October 27th 2015 and with the new series two controller on the way; arriving November the 4th i thought their would be no better time to right my personal review on the series one Xbox Elite controller.
Design
The design of the Elite has the same base design like all the other Xbox One controllers, however, sporting a sleeker look; being, made mostly of steel and rubber the body of the controller feels heavy, giving more grip to the controller. This in turn makes it feel like your holding a durable, authentic controller in your hands.
Their are a few main fundamental features on this controller that makes it superior than most other Xbox controllers on the market. The analogue sticks, D-pad and back paddles are all exchangeable, this allows you to customise your controller however you'd like. Being given six analogue stick variations: standard (2), tall (2), and domed (2), two D-pad variations and four bumper's all this allows you to change anything you'd like.
Furthermore, all of the buttons on the controller are customisable (including the back paddles) allowing you to map any button to any command, for example, your RT button command can now be attached to your P4 Paddle on the back of the controller, making, shooting in games like Call of Duty a lot quicker again all this allows you to change anything you'd like.
The controller also has a few more options to play with. The 'one and two' slider button in the middle of the controller is a 'preset button' allowing you to make two 'preset button maps' this gives you the option of making two different command layout's which can be swapped for different games you play, for example, your 'button mapping preset' for Call of Duty could be different from to one for Mortal Kombat allowing you to switch button composition when you change games.
Furthermore, vibration customisation is also an option; allowing you to choose how strong your controller vibration is. Trigger squeeze: on the L and R triggers this option allows you to change how strong you would like to squeeze on the triggers before the command is executed in game. (players of Call of Duty may want this option to be as minimal as possible this will allow you to shoot and aim quicker.)
Also, on the back of the controller next to the paddles are two hair trigger switches these simply: 'stop the trigger movement after the shot and get you ready for the next one' again, adding for more efficiency in games.
Finally, the controller comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack compatible with all previous Xbox headset and Xbox accessories also, its has a micro USB port.

Personal Review
This controller is my bread and butter; you could say it's the best things since sliced bread (Metaphorically). I have been using this controller for about two years, almost everyday and in that time this controller has given me no issues.
This controller from detail to feel is great and is absolute value for money. If like me when you game and you're quite competitive, doing anything to acquire any advantage over your opponent to ensure victory; this is the only Xbox controller you will ever need. (until the series two controller comes out.)
This controller excelled's in games and with all the customisation options available you're never short on figuring out what works for you. Furthermore, the exoskeleton with the rubber cover gives amazing comfort and handling whilst gaming. I would highly recommend this to whoever would like a reliable, beautiful and well designed controller.
Pros:
> Amazing customisation options
> Brilliant design
> Great Feel
Cons:
> Quite Expensive
> Excessive uses can make back rubber panels detach
