In no specific order

It is no surprise that everybody loves to watch Netflix from time-to-time, binging in our favourite Tv series or movies; relaxing and getting immersed in the story, holding our breath whilst watching a frightening horror movie or rolling over in stitches at the amusement of a great comedy. Whoever you are and whatever you watch Netflix has to offer everything you

desire and this is why we have made a handful-list of the best Netflix animated series.

There are some other animated series that are not on our list but I would like to mention. The ones that are on this list are series I have watched and enjoyed personally and I would not like to recommend something that I have never seen and that is why they do not hold a number on this list, here they are:

  • Bojack Horseman

  • F is for family

  • Disenchantment

These are shows I have not watched but I shall and maybe at some point this list will change.

Number 1: Final Space

Animated sci-fi's are amazing, they add layers of creative futuristic technologies, planets and possibilities; as a fan of Star Wars I do love to indulge in a great sci-fi story and Final Space is criminally underrated, yo. This show has everything; and when I say everything, I mean everything, from emotional storytelling, great comedy and beautiful animation it all sets the foundation for an amazing series.

Basics of the story.

Gary Goodspeed is a prisoner aboard a ship in space named the Galaxy One his only company is a sanity avoidance robot named KVN, his ships AI, Hue and a handful of other robots. At the start of the show, Gary has been on the prisoner-ship for 5 years each day working to keep it in satisfactory operation until - when repairing a satellite Gary bumps into a green-cuddly ball of happiness; Gary instantly befriends his new companion naming him Mooncake. Shenanigans ensue and Gary's prisoner life is changed forever.

Seriously, if you have never seen this animated Tv series go check it out, the show is incredibly funny and the storytelling has left me in tears from time-to-time; this show is amazing and I could not recommend it more.

Number 2: Archer

"Sterling Archer the worst most dangerous spy." The first adult-ESC animated series on our list. Archer is the animated James Bond, he wears a suit, has an alcohol addiction and is a spy, however, where Mr Bond and Archer differ is Mr Bond is actually good at being a spy.

Comedy, action and an abusive mother, what more could you want from a Netflix animated series.

Basics of the story.

Archer is a field agent working in his mother's spy agency named ISIS. Archer is your typical run of the mill agent, he's a playboy that loves women, money and alcohol more, however, when he finds out how much of the company money he has blown on his addictions he finds a solution to his problem. Archer breaks into the place where he works and moves all his overdraft money into another workers account, who coincidentally is a mole; each episode is a new problem for ISIS and Archer to overcome,

Personally, I think Archer beats Tv shows like Family Guy and The Simpsons, the comedy, dark humour and pop culture references rivals its opposition. Do not believe me? If you have never watched an episode, watch the first and you will be instantly hooked.

Number 3: Rick And Morty

What happens when you cross a mentally ill, all powerful old man and a innocent, unintelligent high school boy with a universe of chaos and adventure? Well the answer is simple, a great Tv series. Everything about this series is great, from the Sci-fi aspects, wacky stories and zany comedy Rick and Morty has the foundations of a basic animation series and then excels it by %1000.

Basics of the story.

Well, let's give this a ago! The Rick Andy Morty story boils down to this basic premise, a young boy by the name of Morty goes on countless cosmic adventures with his Grampa Rick, saving galaxies, destroying others and most-always killing a lot of people.

This show is amazing it encapsulates the loneliness and depression of knowing everything it also ask questions of our own reality, religion, fate and destiny are just a few of the questions that get asked in the show. This series really excels by adding new cool Sci-fi technologies and ideas but also by show how mental illness and the effect of mental illness can have on a persona and the people around them.

Number 4: Big Mouth

Big Mouth follows the events of Nick Birch and Andrew Glouberman as they navigate their way through puberty. The Tv series is a sitcom making the events to be funny and light-hearted, however, the series gives a great depiction of what going through puberty is like and how it can be a hard and traumatic time for adolescence.

Basics of the story.

Andrew is accompanied by a companion who's name is Maurice; Maurice is Andrews hormone monster; he is the embodiment of Andrews sexual arousal and he is also the dark-humoured comedy of the Tv series. The series also follows the events of other 7th graders, for example, Jessie is accompanied by Connie—the hormone monstress; Connie is the embodiment of Jessie's sexual arousal.

This series is not only a great comedy but it is also a great example of what puberty and adolescence can be like. The Tv series is dark and funny at the same time; it tells the truth and it is not shy from depicting anything about the misconceptions and confusion around puberty.

Number 5: The Hollow

Trails and tribulations, adventure, unexplored environments, awesome monster and amazing animation is what awaits in store with this Netflix animated series. If you would like a Tv shows that fun easy to watch and enjoyable then look no further, this series is amazing and is a must watch.

Basics of the story.

Adam, Kai, and Mira awake in a room to find that the have no memories of who they are or who each other are. Emerging from the bunker they find themselves in deep forest and venture forth to discover who they are and how to get home.

This series is a treat to watch with only one season spanning 10 episodes its not a show that will take up to much of your time but it is a show were at the end you will be craving for more. From the storytelling and the amazing ending this series is a must to watch.

There we have it, our list of the best Netflix animated shows you can watch now and hopefully you will find something you truly enjoy.
